  • Who are we?

HOME (Housing Options Made for Everyone) is an initiative brought to you by the Urban Development Institute. We know communities are stronger when everyone can find a good home. We are working alongside communities, home builders, and all three levels of government to create meaningful change and help solve BC’s housing crisis.

Our industry is working hard to rebuild our province, our economy and our communities. Together, with vision and care, we will achieve the British Columbia of tomorrow.

  • What are we advocating for?

Here at HOME we have five core goals that we advocate for:

    • Build More Housing Options
    • Link Homes to Transit
    • Enhance Affordability Through Fair Taxation
    • Make Rental Homes a Reality
    • Get Building Homes Faster

  • What do we mean by “housing options”?

Homes can be a variety of options that can accommodate people of all ages and budgets. The type of homes options we advocate for are:

    • Townhomes
    •
Condos
    • Rowhomes
    • Duplexes
    • Laneway Homes
    • Triplexes
    • Rental Apartments
    • Micro Apartments
    •

And many more!

We are always looking at innovative ways to build new types of housing options for British Columbians.

  • How can you get involved?

First, head to our website homeinbc.ca and sign up to get involved. Your voice is important! We want to hear from you. Over the past few months our homes have been even more critical, so what housing options are important to you? Let us know and in return, we will share thoughtful articles and blogs, informative videos and the latest on trends, developments and how you can stay involved. Together we can make a difference!
